I'm going to start a new series of posts, titled "t-i-wan" for "
This
Is Tai
wan," inspired by the "TIA" (standing for "This is Africa") taken from Blood Diamond. Plus, if you say "t-i-wan" fast enough, it sounds like you're saying "Taiwan!" Heh heh heh.... I'll use this saying for things that are extremely unique and would only happen in a place like Taiwan...
Allow me to introduce you to "t-i-wan" -- supermarket shopping.

(I wonder if Burger King actually gave them a license to use their name...)

(Jeannie, do you want me to bring some back for you?)

(This is by far the strangest thing I've seen in the supermarket so far... Pineapple-flavored cheese. Gross!!!!!!)
... because actually using the first letters from "This Is Taiwan" in the same fashion as TIA would not be a good idea.
